Supervisor Sarmiento and his team are deeply committed to the well-being of both the people in our community and their beloved pets. Thanks to their generous donation, we are able to provide spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations at this mobile clinic, making essential veterinary care free to those who registered.
We are incredibly grateful for their unwavering support and dedication to the residents of Orange County. Representing the Second District—including Santa Ana and parts of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, and Tustin—their office works tirelessly to serve the community, ensuring that both people and their pets receive the help they need.
Locks 4 Paws is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by a small group of dedicated rescuers with one mission: to keep pets with their people. They believe pets are family, and no one should have to surrender a beloved companion due to financial hardship.
Over 33% of abandoned pets are given up not because they are unloved, but because their owners can no longer afford food or veterinary care. Locks 4 Paws works to prevent these separations by providing essential services to families in need.
At this event, Locks 4 Paws provided all of the microchips, ensuring pets have a greater chance of being reunited with their families if lost. They also gave each registered attendee a bag of dry food and canned food to help support their pets.
With the support of donors and partners, they help struggling pet owners access food, medical care, and resources to keep their pets where they belong—at home.
Tips & Whiskers is a husband-and-wife team who are all about advocating for the community and their gatos. They started their TNR journey back in 2011 and became a nonprofit in September 2023. From the beginning, one of their big goals was to provide free preventative medical care to underserved communities. They know that accessible pet care is so important, and they don’t think having a pet should be considered a luxury. To them, everyone deserves to enjoy the happiness and love that a pet can bring, no matter their situation.
Coming all the way from Gardena, CA Dr. Andy, DVM, the amazing Beverly Mays and the team at Amazing Small Animal Practice love to help the community by providing compassionate and affordable veterinary care. They have a full service veterinary hospital in the city of Gardena and also have a mobile service unit dedicated to providing high quality medical care.
Thank you to our amazing friends at Orange County Employees Association for letting us use their parking lot for our event.

ARNI Foundation was founded in 1999 by Nikki Linn to bring her passion for animals to life. Starting as a small basement shelter, ARNI grew into a thriving nonprofit, no-kill shelter in Daytona, FL, offering low-cost vaccines and a spay and neuter clinic. Before closing in 2019, ARNI saved an estimated 28,000 animals. To fund the shelter and support other rescues, Nikki and her husband, Rusty Niedwick, created Kitty Kasas, durable cat homes featured on Shark Tank and sold in 2019. Though ARNI’s shelter has closed, Nikki and Rusty continue to rescue animals from Southern California kill shelters and support independent cat rescuers and trappers.
